We are a officially registered company (KO/DS/AD/E/16/2022/12872) and a licensed dealer (20228DL10156) with National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) of Sri Lanka. National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) is the official state body, controlling the gemstone industry established after Sri Lanka Parliament enacted the Act No. 50 Of 1993. NGJA intervenes in all the steps of the exporting process while confirming the prices as well as the quality of the gem stone with the view of avoiding deception. Also previously all the regulations governed by Export Development Board (EDB) of Sri Lanka, will be facilitated by NGJA at present.

Khalifa Gems can offer you excellent quality gems at the best wholesale prices because we buy our gems directly from Sri Lanka Gems mining and we get them cut and polished at our affiliated lapidary units. A gemstone can take few steps when it comes from the mine to the end-buyer. And in each step the traders involved will add their margins and commissions. Since we buy direct from the mine, your end price is free from all these expenses. The value of a gem is determined by gem type, size, weight, color, clarity and rarity. Even small differences in the hue or the intensity of the color, small differences in clarity and cut, can make a big difference in price. Each gemstone has its own particular characteristics and each earth-mined gem carries unique value with them. Every one of our gemstones is one-of-a-kind. You can be assured that all our stones represent good value for the money. Remember that a $1000 stone will always be better than a $500 stone as an example.
There are many styles of cutting but there is no one particular style that is right for every gemstone. The Gemstones that we sell are all natural and we cut our fine gemstones in a way that will bring out there true beauty for you to enjoy. We use many different styles of cutting to make our finished stones are better as much as possible.
As you know, gemstone customs have been changed throughout history. Earth-mined gemstones can be thermally treated according to recognized industry standards to enhance colour or clarity. This is widely accepted practice by all the leading gemstone laboratories. Put simply, it is a method to speed up the process nature couldn’t finish. It is a permanent and stable treatment and does not diminish the value of a natural gemstone.
We fully disclose all gem heat treatments and enhancements, if applied to any natural gemstone.
We strictly do not sell synthetic / laboratory made or any sort of artificial stones. Our gemstones are untreated, meaning they are not color diffused, Irradiated, glass filled etc.
We have an impeccable reputation, a commitment to customer satisfaction and high standards of quality control on every product sold. Each gemstone has its own particular characteristics. Any experienced jeweler will be able to confirm that the gemstone you ordered is the gemstone you received. In fact, we encourage you to have the authenticity of your gemstone verified by a local gemstone jeweler.

This process begins with our confirmation on your special order and we will indicate the price, time required to process the order with all other charges for your final consent and payments.
Gemstones that is available on our platforms already comes verified by our well qualified team, however we do provide gemological certificate through qualified and authorized gemological laboratories; Gem Testing Laboratory - National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), French Gemological Laboratory (FGL), Dilzam Gem Laboratory (DGL), if required. Gemological Certificate comes with full detail and a photograph of the gem.

You may see, many other websites have beautiful pictures of the gemstones they offer. Yet, the reality is that in most cases you are seeing a ‘marketing picture’ of an item that does not even exist. Sometimes our some of the gemstones could be available in Dubai other than in Sri Lanka. This happens due to business travels and rounds of exhibitions. At this juncture, your ordered gemstone will be delivered to your place without any shipping charges.

We do not keep any record of custom/ import duties or taxes applicable in your country, as they widely differ from country-to-country. Therefore, we advise you to contact your local customs office and to obtain accurate information. But most of the times, FedEx / EMS will perform all customs clearance for you and deliver to your address.
